My Armory...So Far

I didn't know when and where to put this group shots of my guns, so here goes.

This is not all of them. I still have a Tokyo Marui CQB-R (Dark Earth version). Actually, it's my wife's. She is also now the owner of the MRP, which we rarely use now. Not in the photos is my KJ Works KC02, also known as the Hawkeye. Also not in the photos above were my Tokyo Marui 1911A1 and Hi-capa 5.1.

Glock18C: Ti-Tan-ium

This would seem to be my fourth Glock18C, but you know too well that I just swapped the slides and frames to get different looks. Here now is the last (for now) of the series of my Glock18C photo galleries.

This is the one with the tan Guarder frame and the Shooter's Design metal slide kit. I didn't realize that there was just one photo of this particular gun during that whole photoshoot - and it's not even alone in the photo. Maybe because of the endless swaps that I did. Oh well, more pictures next time. Here it is with the Kimber Tactical Entry II.

Glock18C: Black on Tan

This now is a gallery of the second Glock18C swapped with the black PGC metal slide from the first Glock18C.

You probably noticed that the dark earth frame now sports a magwell and a thumb-rest. I got the magwell in a stack of second hand items in a local airsoft shop that specializes in handguns parts and upgrades. And the thumb-rest is something I got from my friend. He owns a Tokyo Marui Glock17 Custom and he wanted to get rid of the thumb-rest because he didn't like it. That's luck working in my favor. I really wanted to have a thumb-rest on my Glock so he gave it to me!

Glock18C: Titanium on Black

This entry showcases my first Glock18C, now swapped with the Titanium slide from my second Glock18C.

This set-up seems to be a close cousin of Will Smith's Glock17s in the movie Bad Boys II.

Glock18C: Black on Black

This is a start of a series of Glock18C photography entries featuring my Glock 18Cs.

In this entry are the photos of one of my Glock18Cs, with the orignal frame, and the slide upgraded with the PGC black metal slide and barrel. This Glock also sports the NineBall Tritium sights.

Custom Covert II with Magwell

I really appreciate the function of an enhanced magazine well in a pistol so when I was building the Tactical Entry II, and knowing that it has its own magwell included in the conversion kit, I've decided I'll switch the mainspring housing of the Covert with a Nova mainspring housing with built-in magwell.

The Nova flat-checkered mainspring housing I originally installed in the Covert and is now in the Tactical Entry II
This is now the Nova mainspring housing installed in the Custom Covert II

Below are photos of the Kimber Custom Covert II with its new mainspring housing installed.

Magpul-inspired RECCE Rifle

When I saw this photo of Travis Haley (above) when he and Chris Costa were still with Magpul and the Magpul Dynamics training program, I really wanted to replicate his M4 with my airsoft rifle as my base. Having a Tokyo Marui RECCE Rifle, the project seemed to be done easily except I can't use a CTR stock because I wanted to use the SOPMOD battery. So I've decided I would just go for the same "feel" and not the exact look of the gun. So here's my RECCE Rifle now...again, inspired by the photo above.

The parts listed from the last  RECCE Rifle entry were almost the same. I just removed the tactical flashlight and added a Magpul PTS/AAC 51T Blackout Flash hider and the AAC Suppressor (Dark Earth).

Kimber Tactical Entry II: Photo Gallery

Last April 7 we went to attend a public game and I thought it's a good chance to take photos of my guns in the field, out in the sun - with no artificial light. I brought with me my camera and my customized pistols and my ever-reliable Tokyo Marui RECCE Rifle.

I've taken lots of photos but I was able to select only a few for this blog. In this post are the photos of my Kimber Tactical Entry II that which build process was just concluded a couple of entries ago.

Airsoft Games in RAID (2012.04.07)

Last April 7th is the first time I've played airsoft games since October of 2011. Our group went to a public game in a gamesite called RAID which is located in Chiba where most of the game fields in the Kanto area of Japan are situated. It was more than an hour ride by car from Tokyo without heavy traffic.

Aside from our group which consists of 14 players, there are not so many others that came to play that day. We suppose it's because that partucular day was the best day to do hanami. Cherry blossoms viewing: A Japanese tradition.

It actually turned out for the better to have just about under 40 players all in all because the game field is in an urban/CQB scenario where there are lots of walls, barricades, obstacles and everything else. 20-versus-20 is actually the best set-up, I think, because any number more than that and it would be hard to move in that big but already tight area.

Here are some photos from the games.
